3 years anniversary
The bonds of matrimony are like any other bonds - they mature slowly.
~Peter De Vries
It was 3 years passed in a blink! Can't really say we went through thick and thin as yet, but I strongly believe we both are definitely able to stick through such circumstances! I know Jim has a considerably high expectations from me, which I have not quite fulfilled. Haha.
It's never going to be easy living together, especially each got their own good & bad habits. It's all about compromision and accomodation. Hey we are still doing so, to date!
So where did we go for our candlelit dinner? Nah, initially we planned to make reservation at La Cantina in Venezia @ Changi Village Hotel, but decided to go for crabs since we both haven't been eating good crabs in awhile.
We went to Seafood Paradize @ Defu Lane for dinner after dropping our little sick Reyes at my mum's. Coincidentally our anniversary day coincides with “初七-人日”and we only managed to have our dinner @ 8:40pm!!! Well, the waiting can't be helped as they are well known for their butter cheese and chilli crabs - right!
Nothing special or memorable though, but it's the moment of both being able to enjoy things we like together that matters!
HAPPY 3 YEARS ANNIVERSARY - Jim Daddy!
and counting on ...

It's Chinese Lunar New Year! A brand new year for the Chinese.
This is my 2nd year giving out red packets, it is indeed financially taxing (esp w/o bonus payout this year) though it's a joyous event!
Anyway I am begining to dread CNY! Opps.
Preparations and spring cleaning prior to CNY was tedious! Imagine clearing up a year's mess in a day! My goodness!! I took a day's leave for spring cleaning and I managed to restore own kitchen back to it's original state; polished the kitchen top, stainless steel backing, cabinets, stove and hob. This year I've learnt to work smart - with a glove! Else my hands will suffers! The next project we accomplished was swopping our Study Room with Reyes's playroom - and WE DID IT! Most of the credits goes to Jimmy! Now Reyes have a much bigger playroom of his own. *grins*
We had steamboat as our reunion lunch at MIL's place. She single-handedly prepared all the stuffs as I really have no time to help her out. Jim and myself already started eating while she's making herself busy (i.e boiling some mushrooms, thawing food), persuaded her to eat first so MANY times but she always will respond - "Yaya, it's ok." I asked her at 1 time "What exactly is she waiting for, ain't we supposed to eat together for reunion meal?" I knew Jim will nag me being sarcastic again thereafter. But really can't understand what's on her mind at times - sigh.
Day 1
It was more-or-less routined visitings done, from 10am to 10pm.
MIL --> Jim's Maternal Grdparents --> Ade's Maternal Grdma --> Jim's Paternal Grdparents
Day 2
Some closed friends will be coming over to our house for a informal get-together. Started preparing the Cha Soba early in the morning before we headed out to Reyes's god-parents' house to "拜年". It was a mad rush back home, as I fried the potatoes cubes and deep-frying the nuggets! It was chaotic & OILY!!! Luckily Jim decided (unwillingly though) to help me out with that while I entertained some guests who have arrived. It was just a simple CNY gathering with 2 babies (Reyes & Nicole) running around in the house. Nicole was very adorable, patiently sitting down awaiting for the police car to drive pass... haha. Kids are kids - so innocent ya. Sometimes do wish we still pocesses that kind of innocence.
The most heart-warming event was FINALLY meeting up with Gelyn, Alson & their 3 princesses (Rachel, Raeanne & Raegan)!! We met downstairs at Blk 648 as they are done with their CNY visiting at Rachel's ex-nanny's. 4years! It had been 4years since we saw each other! The girls are so grown up already! I asked Rachel if she remembers me and of course she shook her head as I expected so. It was a mere 30 minutes meetup but the feeling is absolutely splendid! Gosh, I do miss them - their warmth, closeness & friendliness!
A pity XH couldn't go visiting this Chinese New Year, especially this will be the last year before she fly off to Idaho in March!
A pity I won't get to see her baby in person.
A pity a friend lesser.
